Ahhh, Europe… the place that seems to have charm, beauty and romance in every corner. I’ve fallen in love with so many places in Europe but, with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I’m rounding up the most romantic places I’ve been. Looking for inspiration on where to spend Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, honeymoon or just a quick little getaway? Consider these spots just oozing with romance!
Here are the most romantic destinations in Europe!
Mallorca, Spain
Mallorca was one of the most enchanting places that I’ve visited. From idyllic beaches and glistening blue waters to fairytale towns and stunning mountain views, this island has a lot to offer and is perfect for a couples getaway!
Begin your trip in Deia, a small town in the northwest coast of Mallorca perched on a hilltop overlooking the Balearic Sea. Spend your visit wandering the charming streets of the village, perusing the local art shops, and dining by the sea.
Check out Hotel Belmond La Residencia for stunning views of Deia and the mountains — and don’t forget to stop by their restaurant, El Olivo, for a candlelit dinner you won’t forget!
Next, drive the 1.5 hours to Mallorca’s east coast for some beach hopping. Check into the ultra romantic Can Simoneta hotel and spend a few days exploring the local beaches.
Algarve, Portugal
With its dramatic cliffs and coastal views, the Algarve coast is one of the most breathtaking places in Europe… and easily one of the most romantic!
Stunning turquoise waters lap up onto sandy coves dotted with colorful umbrellas. The towns are bustling with live music and cozy outdoor restaurants serving up fresh seafood and vino verde. Sounds charming right? It really is!
Spend your getaway relaxing on the beach, kayaking through the sea caves, wandering the quaint villages, and gorging on delicious Portuguese food!

Tuscany, Italy
Italy is one of my favorite places to visit over and over again. The friendly people, the history, the culture, the food… it just feels so familiar, it feels like home. And for a couples getaway, it doesn’t get much more romantic than the Tuscan countryside!
With its rolling hills, picturesque villages and traditional vineyards, it’s easy to fall in love with Tuscany.
Stay in Montepulciano, a medieval hilltop village with stunning architecture and endless cobblestone streets. Make sure to visit Salcheto winery for a vineyard tour and wine tasting — and check out the views of the village from the vineyard!
Prague, Czech Republic
With its centuries-old architecture, cobblestone streets and an enchanting Bohemian ambience, Prague is one of the cities that whisks you away to another time period. And with tons to see and explore, it’s an ideal getaway for couples!
Step back in history by visiting the Prague castle, visit a nearby winery for drinks with a view of the entire city and dine at one of the incredible restaurants the city has to offer (did you know Prague has several Michelin-starred restaurants?).
Wake up for sunrise one morning and stroll along the Charles Bridge in the early morning light without the crowds — what could be more romantic?!

Hallstatt, Austria
If a charming mountain getaway is more your style, consider the town of Hallstatt, Austria.
This quaint village sits on a beautiful glacial lake nestled in the Austrian mountains and filled with charming little shops, restaurants and chalet style homes.
When I visited last summer, we had an incredible dinner right on the lake. With the mirrored reflection of the mountains in the lake, the sun setting and swans swimming by, it certainly felt like one of the most romantic evenings of my life!

Greek Islands
There’s just something so magical about the Greek islands! I’m not sure if it’s the white washed villages, the turquoise sea or the unbelievable sunsets, but Greece is just romantic is every way.
Santorini is undoubtably one of the most popular honeymoon destinations so you can expect beautiful hotels, candlelit dinners and dreamy sunsets. And Mykonos is bustling with life — from the charming white town to the iconic windmills to the lively beach club scene, you can’t go wrong with a visit to this island!
It’s difficult to choose just one island in Greece so I would recommend picking at least two and going island hopping!
