Looking for one of the best beach clubs in Uluwatu? Here’s everything you need to know about spending the day at Sundays Beach Club!
Below the towering cliffs of Uluwatu, lies one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen… at Sundays Beach Club. This beautiful white-sand beach is home to some of the calmest, clearest water blue water on the island.
Here’s how to visit Sundays Beach Club in Uluwatu!
How to Get to Sundays Beach Club
The beach club is part of The Ungasan Clifftop Resort and you’ll arrive at the hotel in order to enter the beach club. So, using the hotel as your destination in Google Maps is the easiest way to get there.
If you’re arriving by scooter, they have a parking lot that you can use while you enjoy the beach club. If you’re arriving by private driver or taxi, your driver will most likely know of the hotel as it’s quite popular!
Once you arrive at The Ungasan, you can let them know you’re heading to the beach club and they’ll guide you to the funicular that takes you down the cliff to Sundays.
Gliding down the cliffside on the funicular will give you incredible views of the entire beach. That first glimpse of the sea made my jaw drop… views for days!
What to Expect at Sundays Beach Club
The beach club is open daily from 10am – 8pm, on a first-come, first-serve basis. The entrance fee for adults is IDR 450,000 (about USD $30), and includes a IDR 250,000 (about USD $17) food & beverage credit. For kids 5 years and older, the entrance fee is IDR 250,000 with a IDR 150,000 food & beverage credit, and children under 5 are free. Your entrance fee includes a beach towel and use of their comfy bean bag loungers with umbrellas.
The beachfront location is set in a gorgeous cove with a turquoise lagoon that is perfect for swimming and water sports. The beach club offers complimentary use of snorkels, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards!
It’s a good idea to check the tide schedule for your visit. Low tide is best for stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking, while high tide is better for swimming — with snorkeling as a great option for in between high and low tides.
There is also an onsite restaurant, bar, shop, as well as showers, changing rooms and bathrooms. Or, if you prefer, there are private bungalows and VIP sundecks available for rent!
Sundays Beach Club Menu & Food
Definitely make sure to take advantage of the food and beverage credit that is included with your entrance to the beach club!
The menu at Sundays features Indonesian comfort classics like Nasi Goreng, as well as Western favorites like wood oven pizza, burgers and fresh seafood. I was also excited to see they had some healthy options like salads and poke bowls. We ended up being very impressed with the food — everything was fresh and delicious!
