From the moment I arrived in Mykonos, I knew I was going to fall in love. From the cobblestone streets to the bright pink bougainvillea to the white washed houses, Mykonos is so enchanting that you’ll have a hard time ever leaving the island.
Here are 20 photos to inspire you to visit Mykonos!
After a few whirlwind days in Athens, we hopped on a plane and arrived in Mykonos in under an hour. As we approached the island from the plane, I noticed turquoise waters, white houses dotting the coastline and countless yachts. Mykonos has a reputation for being a party island and attracts everyone from backpackers to celebrities.
Strolling through Mykonos town, each street seems to be more charming than the next. With clothing boutiques, jewelry shops, and cute cafes on every corner, you could spend hours getting lost.
‘Little Venice’ is a picturesque area of Mykonos town situation right on the water making it the perfect spot to enjoy sunset and a cocktail! And, just across from Little Venice are some of Mykonos’ famous windmills. There are sixteen of them on the island and, while they are no longer used to mill wheat, they have become iconic and make for a stunning backdrop (especially at sunset!).
We spent most of our days on the island exploring the different beaches, soaking in the summer sun and floating in the calm, turquoise waters. While some of the beaches are geared towards party-goers, others were mostly secluded — there is definitely a beach for everyone!

Hi Laura,
Could I please ask where the picture is with the pink flowers in the restaurant setting? It looks amazing and would love to pay it a visit!
Thank you!
