Located in Miami’s “Mid-Beach” area (not far from the famed South Beach!) is the gorgeous Soho Beach House Miami.
Soho Beach House Miami is situated directly on the beach off of the iconic Collins Ave in the Art Deco district. The 15-story building is a renovation of the once historic Sovereign Hotel and now houses a 50-room hotel, restaurant and beach club.
Here’s my experience staying at Soho Beach House Miami!
About Soho House
Soho House is a private members club that originated in London and now has locations around the world. Having expanded to hotels, restaurants, spas and beach clubs, Soho House also allows non-members to enjoy some of their facilities like restaurants and hotels (only applies to certain locations).
Known for their playful, contemporary interior design and well-appointed rooms, Soho House hotels are each unique in their own way but consistent in their luxurious amenities.
Soho House was traditionally created for the creative, film and arts communities. As such, many of the Houses are home to screening rooms and co-working spaces.
The Rooms
There are eight different sizes of rooms available to choose from, plus “Room 50” which has a king-size bed and a wraparound terrace with sweeping ocean views.
The other room sizes are: Cozy, Medium, Medium Corner, Big Courtyard, Big, Big Ocean, Big Ocean +, and Extra Large Ocean. They each range in size and vary in views with the option to look over Collins Avenue, the city skyline or the Atlantic Ocean.
Our room was categorized as “Big Ocean +” and I think the name suited it perfectly! Upon entering the room, I was greeted by incredible ocean views and beautiful airy lighting.
The interior was just as enthralling with a retro, eclectic design that felt very Miami. From the blue tiled floors to the floral wallpaper and the orange armchairs, the room felt very playful.
Along with the gorgeous design, there were also top notch amenities like a king-size bed, full bar and standalone soaking tub. Plus, all the Soho House amenities that are consistent throughout the Houses like Cowshed Spa products, hair tools (including a straightener!) and fresh baked cookies.
Who doesn’t love having fresh baked cookies after a long travel day?!
The Property
The expansive property features several restaurants, pools, a beach club, and fitness center.
Cecconi’s — one of Soho House’s flagship restaurants — is located in the ground floor courtyard. With locations around the world, Cecconi’s is known for its modern day Italian classics and an upscale, buzzy vibe.
For food and drink, there’s also the Club bar which is located on the second floor and offers pizzas, salads, pastas and other classics. And, Ocho, the rooftop tequila bar, serves poke bowls, salads, sandwiches and (of course) tequila!
The main pool is located on the ground level and features day beds for lounging and relaxing. And the nearby beach club features a private beach area with full service.
And, what could be better than lounging on the beach with a glass of rosé in Miami?
Located on the third floor is the gym and health center featuring a balcony looking over the sea as well as steam rooms. The club also offers yoga and beach bootcamp classes!
