Explore the Old Town + Central Market
Ljubljana’s Old Town is filled with gorgeous architecture, open-air markets, bustling outdoor cafes, fairytale bridges with the Ljubljanica river running through it.
Spend the morning wandering through the Old Town and make sure to stop by the Central Market to see locals mingling and doing their shopping from the open-air vendors selling local goods and produce.
Stop at one of the outdoor cafes for a cozy breakfast and then head to Preseren Square to see the pink cathedral. Nearby, you’ll find the famous Triple Bridge — a group of three bridges crossing the river. The middle bridge was the first constructed in 1842 and the two others were added in the early 1900s for pedestrians.
