As you make your way along the Cote d’Azur, there are so many charming villages and beautiful beaches to explore. One of my favorites of these is the tiny village of Eze. Along the coast, there is a stunning stretch of beach home to a private beach club and restaurant: Anjuna Beach.
Read below for my tips for visiting Anjuna Beach!
How to Get to Anjuna Beach
Located between Nice and Monaco is the small but charming village of Eze. While the village is perched atop a hill, there is a beautiful beach down below known as Eze sur Mer (‘Eze by the sea’).
The beach is surrounded by hillside creating a cozy harbor filled with some impressive yachts during the summer season.
Eze sur Mer can be easily reached by car, bus, train or even boat. If you are planning to drive, there is free parking at the train station (although it may be limited!) or street parking along Avenue de la Liberté (plan to pay about €1.20 per hour). Both the bus and train stops are within a few minutes walk to the beach. Bus No. 100 from Nice makes several stops along the Avenue de la Liberté, or from Eze village, you can take bus No. 83 to the train station. If you plan to take either the bus or train, just make sure you are headed to Eze sur Mer as the walk from Eze village is about 45 minutes!
Once you arrive, the beach can be reached via a tunnel walkway from the Mairie next to the Post Office. At the beach, just walk to the right and you’ll reach Anjuna Beach!
The Restaurant at Anjuna Beach
With a full menu and bountiful wine selection, plan to come hungry and stay the afternoon to take full advantage of the restaurant and beach. With favorite items like the caesar salad, incredible seasonal seafood options and a highly rated truffle burger, there’s something for everyone.
Anjuna Beach’s decor is a beautiful throwback to Copacabana meets Mediterranean nautical chic with local fare, upbeat music and a fun, lively atmosphere.
Note that it can get quite busy on weekends during the summer, so I would recommend making a reservation in advance!
The Beach Club at Anjuna Beach
While the restaurant itself is beautiful, the main attraction at Anjuna Beach is definitely the beach! Relax just steps from the Mediterranean sea while making use of the restaurant’s sun loungers and umbrellas.
There is also drink service on the beach — so you can have a glass of rosé while listening to the sound of waves crash and watching the boats come in.
Within the bay, there are a few rental options available: you can hop on a boat, jet ski or stand-up paddle board! Or simply swim in the crystal blue waters which are perfect for floating the day away — Anjuna Beach even had a few flamingo floaties for loan.
On the weekends during the summer months and on certain days, there is a DJ so you can expect a full on beach party!

Hi Iliana! That’s correct; the beach clubs in the south of France are seasonal so they close for the low season each year. Anjuna Beach is closed now as it’s October but it will re-open for the season in April! This is already mentioned in the guide under “Know Before You Go” 🙂
