There’s nothing quite like a Greek sunset and Mykonos has no shortage of places to watch the sun go down! Watching the sunset in Mykonos is more of a ritual and is often accompanied by buzzy music and tropical cocktails (hello, aperol spritz). During my time on the island, there was one sunset that was absolutely magical — and that was at 180 Sunset Bar.
Read about my experience at 180⁰ Sunset Bar below!
Location of 180 Sunset Bar
This outdoor bar is perched on a hill allowing for breathtaking panoramic views overlooking Mykonos town, the famous windmills, and the picturesque harbor.
The bar is part of the Mykonos Castle Panigirakis, a hotel and event space — so alternately, you can plug this into your GPS!
How to Get to 180 Sunset Bar
The best way to reach 180 Sunset Bar is by foot — while it’s a bit of a hike uphill from Mykonos town, you’ll be rewarded with stellar views and yummy cocktails (and going back is downhill!).
You can also go by vehicle (car or ATV) as there is ample parking but be aware that the roads are steep and narrow (single lane only).
Drinks & Dining at 180 Sunset Bar
The bar offers a full cocktail list as well as a Greek and international wine and champagne menu.
Along with breathtaking views, magical sunsets, live music and an idyllic ambience, 180 Sunset Bar has excellent cocktails!
Plan to stop here before or after dinner as they don’t currently have a full dining menu, but do offer some light bites and appetizer platters for sharing if you need to snack.
As for 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos prices, the cocktails are €25 and wine bottles start at €50.
How to Make Reservations
To make a 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos reservation, simply head to their website where you can book a reservation for the seating section of your choice. You’ll need to include the number of people in your party and select a date and time.
To reserve your seats, a credit card is required. Changes and cancellations can be made to the reservation up to 24 hours prior. Within 24 hours of the reservation, a fee of 30% per person of the reserved minimum spend may be applied to the credit card on file.
After you make the reservation on their website, you should receive a confirmation email with the booking details.
Note that there is a 20 minute grace period for all reservations… so make sure to allow time for traffic, parking, etc to make your booking on time!
Is a Reservation Required?
Reservations are not required, but they are recommended.
Once you arrive, there is typically a Reservations vs. Non-Reservations line where they’ll seat you based on what you’ve reserved or what they have available.
If you don’t have a reservation, you’ll likely be placed in the bar area and it may be standing room only. Without a reserved seat, there isn’t a minimum spend but you aren’t guaranteed the best views in the house.
That being said, if you want to ensure you get the best views and seating possible, make a reservation for the seating section you prefer.
And if you really have your heart set on the best seats at 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos, make sure to book far in advance!

What is the Best Time to Make a Reservation For?
Open daily from 7 – 11pm during Mykonos’ high season, this is definitely the place for sunset drinks! So, I would recommend planning for 1.5 – 2.5 hours to visit for sunset before a late dinner or after an early dinner.
I recommend looking at the sunset time for the date of your trip and planning your visit around that. Typically, you’ll have the option to make a reservation for 7pm, 7:30pm or 8pm.
For example, if I wanted to make a reservation on July 9 and the sunset time was 8:42pm, I would probably select the 7:30pm seating and plan to stay until about 9:30pm. That way, I would have about an hour to enjoy the views in daylight and then plenty of time to watch the beautiful sunset colors until they disappear!
This also allows for ample time to enjoy enough drinks and food to meet your minimum spend requirements.
Where is the Best Place to Sit at 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos?
My first visit to 180 Sunset Bar was back in 2017 on their opening night when I stumbled upon it from our nearby house rental! Back then, it was open seating and there were no minimum spends. Since then, a lot has changed and it has since become one of the most popular sunset bars in Mykonos!
They have expanded their space and created seating sections that each have their own minimum spend pricing. Even with all the changes, I’ve continued to visit on each of my trips to Mykonos and enjoyed each experience!
Now, you may be wondering where to sit at 180 Sunset Bar since there are a number of seating options. Let’s dive into the seating chart sections!
Windmill Section
This section is the closest to the iconic windmill and features 1st row tables for 2-3 people or 2nd row dining tables for larger groups.
Minimum Spend: The 1st row is €80 per person and the 2nd row is €70 per person.
Best for: Couples that want front row seats to an unobstructed sunset view (except for that beautiful windmill!) but don’t want to sit on cushions (these are actual chairs + tables!) or larger groups.
Arch Section
This section has a very similar setup to the Windmill Section and features 1st row tables for 2-3 people or 2nd row dining tables for larger groups. It’s located to the right of the Windmill Section (if you’re facing the sunset) so you won’t get the windmill in your view or photos. It’s also a bit more centrally located in the bar so you’ll be closer to the DJ or live music and “action.”
Minimum Spend: The 1st row is €100 per person and the 2nd row is €80 per person.
Best for: Couples that want front row seats to an unobstructed sunset view but don’t want to sit on cushions (these are actual chairs + tables!) or larger groups.
Main Terrace Deck Section
One of the most desirable sections, this area has some of the best views in the house! It seats 2 – 3 people on the iconic Moroccan style cushion seats and low tables for lounging.
Minimum Spend: The 1st row is €150 per person and the 2nd row is €100 per person.
Best for: Couples that want front row seats to a stunning sunset view and the iconic cushion seating.
Main Terrace Section
The Main Terrace Section is located behind the Main Terrace Deck Section and features rows of tables for up to 3 people and communal tables.
Minimum Spend: The 1st row is €100 per person and the 2nd row is €70 per person.
Best for: Groups that prefer table style seating.
Main Terrace Bar Section
The bar is located behind the Main Terrace Section and features bar style seating.
Minimum Spend: €70 per person.
Best for: Bar lovers — just note that people who arrive without reservations may be standing in this area as well so views could be partially blocked.
Private Deck Section
Arguably the best seats at 180 Sunset Bar Mykonos, the Private Deck Section has sweeping panoramic views of Mykonos town, the old port and, of course, the sunset. This section also features the Moroccan pillow style seating. Most of the seating is for 2 – 4 people but there is one table that could seat up to 6!
Minimum Spend: The 1st row is €200 per person, the 2nd row is €150 per person, and the 3rd row is 100 Euros per person.
Best for: A romantic evening for couples that are looking looking to splurge on the best seats at 180 Sunset Bar!
Stairs Section
Located on the steps right behind the Private Deck Section, the Stairs Section is just that… stairs! Guests can perch on stairs with a little table for drinks + food.
Minimum Spend: €70 per person.
Best for: Couples that want to grab drinks on the Private Deck Section area without the hefty minimum spend and don’t mind perching on the steps!
Sound Hearth Section
The nearby Sound Hearth Section features more comfortable couch style seating near the music.
Minimum Spend: €80 per person.
Best for: Couples that would prefer comfy couch seats while watching the sunset and don’t mind being close to the live music.
*Note the minimum spend pricing is as of July 2022.
**Note that the seating arrangements can change quite frequently so number of seats per table may vary, etc. and this post is based on my experiences. Always contact 180 Sunset Bar directly if you have any questions about current seating arrangements and prices you want to confirm before booking.

Hi there! Thank you sooo much for posting about all of the different seating areas on 180 degree sunset bar. It’s SO helpful! I’m planning to go for my honeymoon and debating btw these 3 sections. What would you recommend for the best view and photos? 🙂
-Sound Hearth
-Private Deck VIP Stairs
– Main Terrace 1st row seats
Laura says
Personally I loved the Private Deck section for the photos with the cushions but the Main Terrace 1st row will be lovely as well. Enjoy your honeymoon! 🙂
Shruti says
Hi me and my husband are coming to Mykonos for the first time. We have an option of
– Stairs
– main terrace 1st row
– boho terrace 2nd row
– skylight stairs
What should be the best choice?
Thank you for the help. 🙂
Shruti says
We also have an option for private deck 3rd row.
Angeline says
hi! I am planning on going here during my honeymoon. My fiancé and I went the best view but do not want to sit on cushions. We are fine with sofas though! What would you recommend? I was debating between the arch 1st row, main terrace 1st row, and sound hearth? Which one of these has the best view in your opinion? There is also a sunset deck option, which might be new, since I don’t see it on your list.
Laura says
Hi Angeline!
I would either go with the Arch or Windmill sections if you want the best views with proper chairs + table. Of course, the Main Terrace and Sound Hearth sections are lovely too, just set a bit further back so you won’t get quite as close up for the view.
Have a fabulous time on your honeymoon!
Sneha says
Hi!! very helpful article indeed. Just a small question. The guest are free to roam around the restaurant irrespective of their seating to take pictures right or does it look rude? for example what if I take a bar seat but go to windmill area for some pictures?
Thanks
Laura says
Totally! The entire space is beautiful and it is easy to snap some photos of the gorgeous setting, sunset, and views. Of course, just be respectful of the other guests! 🙂
Marco S says
Hey,
I hope all is well.
My wife and I are looking to go in September. Which seating do you think would be best and why:
– Private Deck 3rd Row
– Main Terrace 1st Row
– Main Terrace Deck 2nd Row
Thank you so much!
Laura says
Hey Marco!
If I had to pick from those options, I guess I’d go with the Main Terrace Deck 2nd Row since I like the cushion seating and the 2nd row is a bit closer to the front than the 3rd row. It’s really personal preference though as it depends on your budget, seating type preference, etc.
Have a wonderful trip! 🙂
Marco Sciove says
Thank you very much😁 We are truly looking forward to it! Is there much difference between the main terrace deck and the private deck? Do you think its worth it to move up another row in the private deck? I really appreciate your help 😄🙏
Laura says
Of course! Happy to help.
The private deck section is the larger section with cushion-style seating (as pictured in the post) and the main terrace deck is much smaller… I want to say it has about 4 tables total. It’s also cushion style seating and is situated slightly higher up than the private deck section. They have similar views except the main terrace deck does have a tree on the left side… It didn’t really impede our view or bother our group when I sat there but we were seated on the right side of the 1st row. Honestly, both sections are beautiful!
Hope that helps! 🙂
Jhay says
Hi! Do you have to make a reservation to get in?
Laura says
Reservations are not required, but they are recommended if you want guaranteed seating!
Laylee says
Hi my name is laylee and I like to make a reservation for sunset on June 19 For a party of six where do you suggest I book for a good sunset view nice drinks and appetizer or maybe dinner
Laura says
Hi Laylee!
Sorry for the late reply here. For future reference, the best sections for groups are the Main Terrace, Arch, and Windmill sections since they have larger tables to accommodate groups. Most of the 1st row seats are for couples or groups of 2-4. Hope that helps and you have a wonderful time in Mykonos!
Marek says
Hey! Do they have a limit on the time starting from your resi time?
Laura says
No, I don’t believe they have a time limit on tables! They actually have a minimum spend price per person so they’ll need to allow you ample time to enjoy enough drinks + food to reach that. I’d check with them if you want to be sure though 🙂 Have a great time!
Garrett says
Hi – Where would you recommend we sit if it’s our honeymoon? We prefer sitting on chairs rather than cushions and would also like to be close to the action. Are the windmill seats to far away?
Laura says
Hi Garrett,
Honestly the whole place has a romantic and buzzy vibe so you really can’t go wrong! And if you don’t want the cushion seats, I’d say the 1st row windmill seats are a great option because they have chairs and a table with a front row view so you can take in the sunset and views over town without any other tables obstructing your view. They aren’t very far from the main deck and terrace and have a very similar view!
Hope that helps. Enjoy your honeymoon!
Lisa says
When making resos which section is the best to reserve?
Laura says
Hi Lisa!
For the absolute best views, I would select the 1st row Deck or the 1st row Terrace Deck. These are the tables with cushions and front row views! If you’d prefer chairs and a table and it’s just 2-3 people in your group, I’d go with the Windmill 1st row — it also has a lovely sunset view 🙂
Have a fabulous time in Mykonos!
Steph says
Hey! What time did you make the reservation for? We are planning to go in June 🙂
Laura says
Hey Steph!
I would take a look at the sunset time for the date of your visit and plan around that! Having at least a half hour before the sunset ensures that you’ll be able to enjoy the views with some daylight, see the sunset colors, and then into the night when the town lights up!
Enjoy your time in Mykonos 💖
